Our annual firework night went off with a bang on 31st October. On the night of Halloween itself we had a Halloween theme again this year with face painting, a Scare Tent, Fancy dress competition and a Chocolate fountain.
The special guest on Sat 31st October was John Marshall, the breakfast presenter on the local radio station Lincs FM. He also had the important job of judging the fancy dress competition and is pictured right with the two winners Abbi Vinters 4 years old and Ambie Brockelsby 6 years old. The fancy dress competition brought some very ingenious outfits from the children - well done all those who took part!
In the hangar we also had a chocolate fountain with marshmallows, face painting, a mask making workshop a scare tent for the children manned by professional actors and a pumpkin garden. One of the most fascinating attractions of the evening was Sam Sam the Bubbleman who was roaming around the Centre creating bubbles large enough to put a child in.
The highlight of the evening for many was our night taxy run which is so atmospheric in the dark. Video footage of this can be seen in our website gallery along with the launching of the Chinese lanterns. The finale of the evening was our spectacular firework display possibly the best we have seen at East Kirkby. It is very hard to capture this in photographs but the video on our website shows just how spectacular it was.
