Easter Bank Holiday was our Emergency Services weekend
On Monday 13th May we had a large collection of both historic and present day emergency vehicles at the Centre. The Air Ambulance was also based at East Kikrby for the day.
The fire service did an hydraulic platform demonstration rescuing a fellow fireman from the top of the Control tower.
They also performed a rather dramatic and spectacular chip pan demonstration as part of their public awareness campaign.
Certainly the noisiest part of the day was the parade of all of the emergency vehicles with their sirens on.
The finale to the day is something which we can say has never been done before and possibly will never be done again. Two fire engines lined up to spray an arc of water over Just Jane during her last taxy run.
