This nose art is exclusive to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre and is hand-painted on genuine skin taken from a Lancaster bomber based in Canada. Here we have the complete 'Just Jane' nose art from the port side of NX611. The design originally appeared on a Lancaster of 61 Sqn and was chosen by the RAF as a promotion tool in the early 1990's. Fred Panton had seen the real 'Just Jane' post-war and decided to keep the painting. She was originally wearing a red swimsuit but the model for Jane, Christabel Leighton-Porter visited the Centre and had it changed as 'she never wore a one-piece!'
This item measures approx 55cm x 45cm depending on the skin section used.
