The Percival Proctor was an intrinsic part of the training scheme for Bomber Command Wireless Operators.
The Proctor at the Centre is a MkIV which operated from No.2 and No.4 Radio Schools. If you would like to learn more about the aircraft please look HERE
The next part of the project is to cover the aircraft and flying controls with Ceconite fabric, its quite an expensive job but will allow us to continue the completion of the aircraft and get her painted up in her original colour scheme.
Once complete she will be a fine static exhibit for the Centre and a reminder of the role of the training schools to provide highly skilled Wireless Operators for Bomber Command.
