This is your rare opportunity to own a real piece of aviation history.  This is an original Avro Lancaster undercarriage part as fitted to an aircraft scrapped in Canada.  The Avro Lancaster is arguably the most prestigious aircraft of WW2 and this is the only item of its type that we have for sale.

The item is overhauled to a static display item but is operational with all joints and springs working.  This shows the down lock mechanism of a Lancaster undercarriage.

The photos show it in a locked and unlocked position.

You can also see from the photos that the item still carries its makers identification plate listing it as for a Type 683 (Lancaster).

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

The knuckle components are either chromed or plated or painted depending on their position in the mechanism giving it a really nice display value.

It measures 2.5 feet in length and would sit very well in an enthusiasts collection.

I am sure this will be your only opportunity to get hold of one of these.

Due to its weight we would suggest the item is collected, it is currently held at the home of Avro Lancaster NX611, East Kirkby.  But postage can be arranged.
