Dakota N473DC returned back to East Kirkby for the 2010 season
On Wednesday 20th January N473DC flew back in to East Kirkby for winter servicing and the 2010 season. Originally due to fly in in December it’s arrival had been postponed several times due to the large amount of bad weather and snow we received over the winter period.
The aircraft was flown in by Captain John Dodd , a regular pilot of ‘Drag Em Oot’ and a pilot for BMI, with co-pilot the engineer Mark Edwards.
The aircraft is back from what has been it’s summer home of Humberside airport. The good news is that it will be staying with us for the whole 2010 season.
We will also be offering Dakota tail down taxy rides on our busier days which are pre-bookable through our website.
Hopefully the Aviation Centre will remain the permanent home to this veteran war bird.
