American Air Day 2010

The first May bank holiday has been and gone and we were treated to gusting winds and light showers.

The planned events were somewhat disrupted by the weather causing the Dakota to use a shorter length of the grass strip at some interesting angles and stopping the displaying Mustangs from landing for the public.

The hugh cross winds also caused the BBMF to cancel their flypasts and the Lancaster was U/S.

Even through all this we managed to provide two displays with the Dakota and a formation flypast and twin displays by the Mustangs.

The photos are below for your enjoyment.  Photos courtesy of Martin Keen and Adam Baxter.
