Air Show display aircraft 2017

The aircraft of the East Kirkby Air Show 2017

  • Lancaster PA474 (BBMF) - The iconic Lancaster bomber from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight based at RAF Coningsby will be gracing the skies over East Kirkby giving you the only chance in Europe to see two Lancasters together!

  • Hawker Fury- A beautiful 1930's biplane fighter based at Duxford with the Historic Aircraft Company.

  • Lancaster NX611- The pride and Joy of the Lincs Aviation Heritage Centre and the Panton family will be demonstarting taxy runs and watching over the biggest event held at the Centre this year.

  • Spitfire (BBMF)- Possibly the most famous aircraft of all time and certainly one of the most graceful; the Spitfrie will be joining us from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

  • Dakota N473DC- Based at East Kirkby and operating from our grass strip.  She doesn't display much in the UK so this is a rare treat. (Static only)

  • Bristol Blenheim- Based at IWM Duxford and landing in at East Kirby this classic warbird will purr through the skies with her graceful display.

  • Avro Anson- Based at Sleap airfield this beautiful traingin aircraft will join her Avro sisters at East Kirkby (Static Only)

  • YAK 11- Static Only

  • T28 Fennec G-TROY- Based at Duxford this T-28 is owned and operated by Groupe Fennec and displays at both IWM Duxford and Old Warden.  Its a first for us to have it at East Kirkby.

  • Hawker Hurricane (BBMF)- The unsung hero of the Battle of Britain this elegant gun platform will be supplied by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

  • Great War Display Team- A superb collection of replica WW1 fighter bi-planes and tri-planes bringing back the early years of combat aviation. This display will include ground and aerial pyrotechnics!!!

  • Autogyro- You wouldnt think its possible to fly like this but the Autogyro display will show you whats reay possible with a bit of physics and technology!

  • Bucker Bestmann- German 1930's and 1940's training aircraft operated by Will Greenwood.
  • T6 Harvard- Part of the Hurricane Heritage Collection and newly painted for the 2017 display season.  The Harvard is a world renowned training aircraft with a big noisy radial engine!
  • OV 10B- Bronco-  A 1960's turbo-prop light attack and observation aircraft.  It was specifically designed for the Vietnam war and deployed successfully during the Cold and Gulf wars.
  • Auster
  • Hurricane R4118- A beautiful original Battle of Britain Hurricane and operated by Hurricane Heritage!
